Key words are very useful - add some to your vocabulary today!

For the CAE exam, it's essential to have a wide vocabulary. You could say that it's vital. Or crucial!
So, don't say "there's a big difference between these two pictures" - try "there's a striking difference". Or an obvious difference.
And don't say "these two pictures both show the same thing" - try "they have something in common". Or they share a common feature.

Some key words are very specific - but others are very versatile. The latter can therefore be used in a wide range of circumstances - for example, you can use major to describe changes, differences, improvements, problems, setbacks... And if you can use major, you can also use minor - with the opposite meaning, of course.
